Have forgot to mention the aftermath of the Podge & Rodge Christmas Special that went out on St Stephen’s night. Thee lads had warned me that they’d given me a nickname and I am suitably humbled… It’s a bit like being given a New Year’s honour by the Queeen… Well, two of them, little filthy ones…

The question I asked about Rodge’s….. nocturnal habits was graced with a “Well that’s rich coming from Wrist O’Shea” Friends have now started using it. My wife was less than happy when someone called her “Mrs Wrist”…

Dr Who at Christmas was head and shoulders above almost everything that I was so impressed with in the first series. Was glued to the screen for the hour and hugely impressed that Russel Davies took the gamble of playing pretty much the first two thirds with all the minor characters as the Doctor lies in bed.

All the more impressive when he does turn up and does sword battle with a huge alien leader in his pyjamas. Really ups the ante on what we’ve seen already 🙂 Great ending too – just when you think it’s going one way he pulls a trump from his deck and sets up the next series beautifully. Yes, I am excited that K-9, The Cybermen and Sarah-Jane are coming back…

PS Just remembered (lucky that I did!) that I’m at the Limelight nightclub in Glenties, Co. Donegal this Saturday night. First time I’ve blown dust from my big silver box of mystery tunes so should be entertaining providing anyone has money left after Christmas…
